Janet Nexon is of counsel in the firm’s business and real estate practice. Ms. Nexon’s practice comprises a wide range of real estate-related transactions, including the acquisition, financing, leasing and sale of commercial and multi-family real property. She also has extensive experience representing borrowers and lenders in connection with real estate secured loans. Ms. Nexon was admitted to the California Bar in 1982. She is a graduate of the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where she was an editor of the Hastings Law Journal.

Ms. Nexon served as law clerk to the late Honorable Lloyd King, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Norther District of California. After her clerkship, she joined the business department of the San Francisco firm of Howard Rice Nemerovski Canady Falk & Rabkin, where she was named as a director in 1990. In 2005, she joined Kalish Nexon LLP. Since that time, she has focused on real estate and business transactions. Ms. Nexon is a member of the Real Property section of the State Bar of California and the Marin County Bar Association. Ms. Nexon has been recognized as a Northern California Super Lawyer by Law & Politics, and is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell. Ms. Nexon lives in Piedmont with her family. She is an avid (although inexpert) tennis player.
