Philip Welch practices in the areas of partnership, real estate, business, and agriculture law, tax, and estate planning. Mr. Welch graduated from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, in 1975, and earned an LL.M. Degree in Taxation from New York University in 1979.

Mr. Welch was the 1987 Chairman of the Tax Section of the Bar Association of San Francisco and is a member of the American Bar Association Partnership Tax Committee and the California Bar Association Agribusiness Subcommittee. He was an Adjunct Professor in the M.S. and LL.M. Tax programs at Golden Gate University in San Francisco and is a frequent lecturer on tax, real estate, and related topics for various continuing education programs. He is a co-author of "Partnership Taxation," a book published by Practitioners Publishing Company, Fort Worth, Texas; the author of "Partnership Taxation: Understanding Key Issues," a course offered by the California CPA Society; and author of other partnership, tax, and real estate related articles and courses.
