Wayne H. Gilbert

Wayne GilbertWayne Gilbert is certified as a specialist in estate planning, trust, and probate law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. He graduated from the UCLA School of Law in 1978, where he was a member of the Law Review and Order of the Coif, and he earned an LL.M in Taxation from New York University in 1986. Mr. Gilbert was a visiting professor at the McGeorge School of Law and an adjunct professor at the University of San Francisco Law School and Hastings School of Law, where he taught a variety of estate planning and tax courses. Mr. Gilbert is a frequent lecturer on estate planning related topics for various continuing education programs. He is the co-author with Timothy Galusha of Understanding Property Tax Treatment of Trusts (Winter, 2007) Vol.12, No. 4 Trusts and Estates Quarterly. Mr. Gilbert is a member of the Tax and Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Sections of the State Bar of California and of the Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law and Taxation Sections of the American Bar Association. Mr. Gilbert is a member of the San Francisco Estate Planning Council (serving as President in 2001-2002) and the Marin Estate Planning Council.
